New Years Goodness

New Year’s Eve is always fun and full of good food. This year I spent new years at a friends house, which is quite different than what I normally do. I normally go to my grandpas house and play cards and eat until midnight, but I decided to do something different. When I went to my friends house, I brought the best bars ever. They are called M&M Cookie bars. The amount of M&M’s in them is ridiculous. They came out exactly how they looked I’m the picture. They were gooey, chewy, and very chocolaty. What else could one ask for?!

Here are the instructions.. Preheat oven to 325. Line 9×13 with foil. Mix together butter and sugars until combined. Stir in egg, yolk, and vanilla. Fold dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Stir in 1 cup of the m&m’s. Smooth dough into the pan. Pour the rest of the m&m’s on top, press them in slightly, and bake 25-28 minutes.

Here is the recipe..

2 1/8 c flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 sticks butter

1 c brown sugar

1/2 c white sugar

1 egg + 1 egg yolk

2 tsps vanilla

1 12oz bag of mini m&m’s
